Francesco Ticozzi is Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) at the Faculty of Engineering (SSD ING-INF/04), where he currently teaches Laboratory of Control in the undergraduate program and Quantum Information in the PhD program. His research interests include modeling and control of quantum systems and quantum information encoding and protection in physical systems. He is presently coordinator of a research project investigating the interface between quantum information protection and stochastic evolutions, and he coordinates the Control Theory Unit in a research project on Quantum Communications in free-space. Author of fifteen publications in international journals and conferences in the areas of control theory, quantum physics and applied mathematics, he has been invited to present his research in Europe, Canada and the United States, and he has held various visiting appointments at Dartmouth College, NH. He recently co-organized an international quantum control workshop and invited sessions in international conferences, and he regularly serves as a referee for international journals.
